Think of Main Street United Methodist as your home away from home, a place where you don't have to worry about your past or present, the clothes you wear, your knowledge of the Bible, or anything else that might hold you back from church. Come as you are, and you’ll be greeted with love and warm smiles!
Don Bennett, Administrative Assistant, is in the office Monday through Friday, 8 AM - Noon.
We tend to be business casual, some of our members dress in suits and ties while others wear jeans and t-shirts.
Our church is equipped with a nursery for children under the age of five. It is located right alongside our sanctuary so your little ones are always within easy reach but safely monitored according to our Safe Sanctuary Policy, so you can worship without distraction. Sunday School is offered for both youth K-8th grade and adults at 9 AM. A children’s message is offered during the service.
Come early to enjoy coffee with others prior to gathering in the sanctuary. You can expect Bible-based sermons, and a pianist-led, traditional worship service with occasional special music. Communion is served the first Sunday of the month and is open table (you don’t have to be a member of this church or any church to participate, and there are no age restrictions).
After visiting, we hope you’ll make Main Street UMC your homebase for journeying with God. Church is far more than a building and what happens here on Sunday mornings. We offer a variety of opportunities for you to connect, go deeper in your relationship with God, and serve in the local community.
As I minister to others, I do so from the lens of my own life experiences—from knowing hopelessness to finding healing, hope, and restoration through God’s provision. With a background in social work, my passion is helping people who are isolated - by fear, addiction, poverty, war, and all the ways that life circumstances can lead to hopelessness - to connect to the wholeness and healing found in Jesus Christ.
I believe our response to God’s amazing grace is evidenced by the ways in which we love God by loving others. I believe we are the vehicle for God's love in a broken world—the hands and feet of Jesus. It is the holy work we do together to partner with God in His restorative, redeeming, and renewing work in the world.
I invite you to explore, connect, and journey with us at Main Street United Methodist Church as we live out our faith in a loving God through loving others.
