Dear Beloved Church,
It has been a long wait, but we are happy to announce that in-person worship will resume on Sunday, June 14th at 10:00 AM. We are so excited to welcome our church family back into our building for services! However, doing so means we all need to take extra precautions to protect the health of all who choose to join us. We understand and support that gathering for in-person worship is an individual decision and folks should only do so when they deem it to be the right time. With that said, we will continue to offer live streaming/virtual church as well as posting audio to our website. As our live streaming will continue, we are in need of a couple of folks to take care of Facebook church media – please let me know right away if you can help in this area.
Gathering and worship will be different than what we experienced prior to March. Attached are the guidelines for phased-in gathering at the church building. Please keep in mind that some of the protocols are temporary in nature. The Transition team and church leadership, guided by the East Ohio Conference and the Centers for Disease Control, have spent much time in preparing these guidelines as well as prepping our building. Our expectations upon entering the building for worship or other gatherings is that we follow our guidelines - we must love each other enough to keep our distance & follow guidelines during this time!
Church, the situation we are in remains fluid. We pray that things continue to move in the right direction but the possibility of a spike is something we will monitor and make adjustments as needed. Please feel free to call me with any questions or concerns.
Again, I want to stress that no one is under any obligation to attend in-person worship or any church event until they are comfortable in doing so. These are unprecedented times, yet God abides and in that, we are blessed.
I can’t wait to see you all!!
Grace & peace,
Pastor Jenny Whitmore
